I have always loved the 'Apartment for Amsterdam project' shown on a previous blog documenting my university projects. Now I have access to such a great design package I couldn't resist staying late a few nights and redesigning the large kitchen/diner/lounge...
The layout.
The Kitchen (I taught myself sketch up and rendering was a mystery to me then...)
2014 version - Slightly more realistic without a large suspended double width worktop but the linea design along with the solid walnut worktops/end panels has stayed relatively true to the original.
The lounge area then...

The dinning area then (complete with photoshop lamp shades)...
...and now. Much sleeker/softer design to sit with the ultra white kitchen.
These are my favourite comparison images. I love them both - they each represent phases in my taste and ability.
